Competition Format

Enhanced Games uses a simplified format: heats and finals. In swimming, the number of heats depends on entry numbers; in sprinting a semi-final system is used. Results are measured to 0.001 seconds (swimming) and 0.0001 seconds (athletics).

Key difference from the Olympics: no drug testing during competition. Athletes must however pass medical examinations confirming that substances used pose no health risk.

Who Can Compete

Enhanced Games has an open entry policy. Eligible competitors include:

  • Former and current Olympic athletes
  • Athletes suspended for doping by WADA or federations
  • Amateur athletes meeting qualifying times
  • Athletes from any country (no geopolitical restrictions)

Confirmed participants include: Fred Kerley (100m, USA) and several former swimming world record holders including Kristian Gkolomeev, James Magnussen and Ben Proud.

Prize Pool and Records

The total Enhanced Games 2026 prize pool exceeds $5 million:

PlacePrize
1st place$250,000
World record (bonus)+$1,000,000

This is many times more than prizes at IAAF World Championships or Diamond League events. These sums attract top athletes willing to risk Olympic contracts.
